”From Childhood to Adolescence” – Montessori and Secondary Education

 

 

Montessori Europe is an organisation established in 2000 to enable and promote Montessori pedagogy in a political, social and educational context throughout Europe. A network has been created consisting of Montessori teachers, institutions, foundations and organizations.

 

Since the year 2000 ME has succeeded in building a strong, goal-oriented organization at an European level. Its main aim is promoting the Montessori pedagogy and its inherent commitment to the Children's Rights, and the organization each year of an international congress that is attended by approx. 450 participants.

 

The theme of the XI th international congress is „From Childhood to Adolescence“.

The emphasis will be laid on adolescence in view of the ideas for an experience based education for social life, as advocated by Maria Montessori for the secondary education

 

We are proud to be able to welcome international speakers like David Kahn - USA,  Lesley-Ann Patrick - Scotland, Wiebe Brouwer – The Netherlands, Clara Tonar - Italy,  Ulrike Kegler - Germany.

 

On Saturday, October 2nd  2010, workshops are offered with a wider scope and variety on different  themes from the Montessori pedagogy.

Montessori Europe e.V. ist ein gemeinnütziger Verein, der sich zum Ziel gesetzt hat, die Montessori Pädagogik in bildungspolitischer, sozialer und pädagogischer Hinsicht europaweit zu etablieren und zu fördern. Er ist ein Netzwerk von Montessori-Lehrern, - Einrichtungen, - Stiftungen und - Organisationen.

 

Seit dem Jahr 2000 ist es gelungen, eine große und durchsetzungsfähige Organisation auf europäischer Ebene aufzubauen. In deren Zentrum steht die Umsetzung der Montessori-Pädagogik und der Kinderrechte. Darüber hinaus wird jedes Jahr ein großer internationaler Kongress mit ca. 450 Teilnehmern veranstaltet.

 

Das Thema des XI. internationalen Kongresses vom 01. - 03.Oktober 2010 lautet: „From Childhood to Adolescence“. Schwerpunkt wird das Jugendalter sein. Dies entspricht dem Gedanken einer Erfahrungsschule des sozialen Lebens, wie Maria Montessori ihre Idee einer Jugendschule genannt hat.

 

Wir freuen uns auf internationale Referenten, wie David Kahn - USA,  Lesley-Ann Patrick - Scotland, Wiebe Brouwer - NL, Clara Tonar - Italien,  Ulrike Kegler - Deutschland.

 

Am Samstag, den 02.Oktober 2010  werden  auch Workshops zu übergreifenden Themen in der Montessori Pädagogik angeboten.
